A blog from a blog

My intention is to use this space for thoughts and perhaps even practice videos. However, for now, I'll post someone else's blog entry. Almost nine years ago, I learned the John Mackey Concerto for Soprano Saxophone and Wind Ensemble in ten weeks and performed it with the Ridgewood Concert Band in the second - ever(!) - performance. My daughters were 10 years old and my sons were 3. At some point little hands scribbled all over my score. I'm still not sure how I managed it all, but it definitely was exciting!
